1.
The
environment is unable to flourish because of the excessive use of fossil fuels,
which provide an abundant amount of energy and are easy to access. This has a
significant impact on people and the environment through air pollution, land degradation,
water pollution, and global warming. Also, fossil fuels are a nonrenewable
resource which means eventually we will run out.
2.
I
believe the best solution to this opportunity is shifting from generating our
energy through fossil fuels to solar energy. Solar energy is renewable and non-polluting,
unlike fossil fuels. I believe the government could create a program that
depends more on solar energy in order to create a more sustainable future for
the environment. This change wouldn’t happen right away because of how dependent
we are on fossil fuels, but slowly incorporating solar energy into the process
of generating energy is a start. The majority of people are aware of the
negative effects fossil fuels have but don’t believe they can make a
difference, which is why I feel like it is important that the government leads
this change and then more people will support the movement. The technological advancements
in today’s age allow us the opportunity to create clean energy systems and make
a difference for future generations. If a solar energy program was initiated
and became our main source of energy, I believe the majority of people would
support this and would appreciate the positive impact it would have on our
environment.
Hi James great post! I totally agree with you to switch from fossil fuels to solar energy. It is better in the long run and is cost effective. This not only helps now with the economy but thee future as well. I liked all the examples and scenarios that you placed in your post to fully understand the business that you created.
ReplyDeleteJames, great post for this assignment! I completely agree with you, being so dependent on fossil fuels is incredibly restricting and damaging to the planet. I believe that humanity on a global scale should band together to work to come up with a feasible and widely implementable renewable energy source. The most important thing right now is that we take action in some way, as for far too long, people have been letting this issue go and slowly destroy our planet.
